The sound is a bit too compressed but the songs are such a killer assault on your sanity it does not really matter. 31 minutes of exquisite suicidal double hammers and saws! The music is a perfection of dark doom vice as only Bethlehem can make it – deadly heavy, melodic and unique – and the vocals are crazier than ever. A major piece of art of brain liquefaction! More German sonic genius! Let us all move to Germany to be closer to the source of all this fleischkraft. Bethlehem is one of my über favorite bands ever (well, since 94 to be accurate). Madness of blood and tar doom with depressive death! Any review or description attempt is doomed to fail, so I’ll just stop now. It is hard to find anything sicker than Bethlehem, even their electronic parts reek of neuron salad putrefaction (cf “Schatten” double CD, arghhhhhhh!). The last one “Mein Weg” even has some Rammstein echoes and a Claude François cover. It is all greater than great. The tribute album is a real big ass tribute: amazing covers, some identical to the originals, some completely punk and raw, mandatory for the Bethlehem fan! Fuck yeah! Tod und Wahnsinn! À POIL!!!
