Violent Arrest – Life Inside The Western Bloc, 2015 CD Album Boss Tuneage – BTRC092 includes Distorted View Basic hardcore punk anyone? 5 years later, it was time to have a Violent Arrest update. This is great stuff, rough and virulent as we might expect from former Ripcord members, even if none of these releases match the level of zerritude of Poetic Justice. No musical breakthrough or groundbreaking extremities here, just plain classic British sounding old style thrash that might fill that urgent craving. I cannot leave without regretting the usually generic lyrics. The hardcore scene should definitely go and use satanic zombie lyrics or anything else but these half-assed so-called socially concerned interchangeable hypocritical slogans. Parrot’n’roll! But as long as it makes a lot of noise, I won’t complain too much. Remove brackets and unzip: [zerocracy] !ZER Violent Arrest ZER! PS: After Death reloaded, try again. |

Septicemia
01. Septicemia – Sabbath Conventions, 1992 Vinyl LP Mini-Album Black Power Records – BPR-003 Greek thrashing death! And some doom. It has aged very gracefully and is still very relevant in 2015: still as fast, dark and guttural. Use Convulse and Death, add a layer of Paradise Lost and a touch of Morbid Angel for the speediest parts, or the first Carbonized, then crush, shake and salt a lot, burn for 666 hours, worship Satan and serve hot. Amazing record – too short, but zer til death! Remove brackets and unzip: [septic zer] !ZER Septicemia ZER! |

Apostasy
01. Apostasy – Sunset Of The End + Fraud In The Name Of God, 1991 CD Compilation Limited Edition Proselytism – none Reissue from 2013 Chilean death thrash at zerring altitude and speed! From the dawn of the 90s emerges this magnificent reissue, in the traditional style of Proselytism 7″ size digipak and perfect artwork. Amazing reissue. Beyond the exceptional packaging, the music goes like this: “It rips, it shreds, it buries the corpse in a deluge of rotten and reeking blood. Highly recommended for fans of anything from Dark Angel to Possessed or even Sepultura’s finest hour(s).” (stolen from the Metal Archives review). I would also link Apostasy`s sound to the German thrash attack of early Kreator and earlier Deathrow. Killer thrashing triplazer! Speaking of death row, our subhuman friends from the Church of State did again today what they do best: kill people. We need more worldwide state apostasy, total rejection and complete dissolution of the state, this evil, cannibalistic superstition. Satan, help us! Guillotine – Bring Down The Curtain, 1989 Vinyl LP Album Alchemy Records – 002LP From the farm of classics Alchemy Records came this very great crossover thrash album. Fans of Death Angel, Excel and Metallica must not miss it. The word amazing does not seem to pop up in the conversation, as it would when refering to Clown Alley or Sacriilege BC from the same farm, but the general greatness in song writing and execution makes it a minor classic that will satisfy any thrashosaur. Krull
01. Krull – Anguish, 1989 Vinyl 7″ New Wave Records – NW 031 Krull were from Paris and played a slightly metalized hardcore that was not as fast as Heimat Los, but maintained this French 80s sound. Proudflesh – Proudflesh, 2006 CD Album Stereo Wired Gnome Records – WG2 The most recent request, and I can’t resist. Dehumanization is easily in the classic hardcore EZTT. As maximumizer as anything from Discharge! So much power, so much soul, infinite supply of zer. It never ages. Then there is the completely totalizer Proudflesh album that surpasses any post-1983 Motörhead. Proudflesh is the most criminally ignored hard rocking punk album of the past three decades, it bangs your head on all axis with flabbergasting prejudice. In the name of ZER, we demand another five Proudflesh albums! Come on! The Cruciflesh discography is as short as completely unavoidable for any true zerist. I have been a big Crisis fan for two decades. So of course, I ordered the album of Karyn Crisis’ new band Gospel Of The Witches, which sounds extremely promising, like an awaken version of Neurosis with good vocals:
But while digging a bit of info about this project, I landed on Karyn Crisis web page, and was struck by the horrifying page where she sells old new-age cretinism. Supernatural attack! Skepticism alarm! She really is a witch (the kind that exorcises your neuron out of your skull). This sounds so banally ridiculous that I must read it: if anyone has a link to a pdf or whatever free source (preferably pirated illegally), thanks for posting it in the comments. I guess it is going to be a good healthy laugh, but I can’t pay for this adulescent bullshit. This is going to be the Interstellar of reading. Bravo Karyn! Don’t forget, love transcends time and space! Shit and reshit. It is time for more Skepticism.
